Aleš is an active gynecologist and the head of L’ART Center for Assisted Reproduction (www.ivf.cz). He researches and consults on improving health systems, healthcare quality, exploring computer linguistics for medical information management. He has mentored students at the Masaryk University and internationally on information and communication skills and attitudes for professional needs for the past 30 years.

Previously, he has advised and consulted to many international organizations, such as the Council of Europe, WHO and the World Bank on quality improvement and accountability improvement in healthcare and healthcare education and training.

He was President of the European Society for Quality in Healthcare and is a Board member of the Central and Eastern European Society of Technology Assessment in Healthcare and the European Health Futures Forum.
